Wooden Boatbuilding

 

Before enrolling in the North Bennet Street School's full-time Cabinet and Furniture Making program in Boston, MA, I operated my own company, Schleiff Boatworks, LLC., a small one man boat-building shop specializing in custom one-off boats.  I built a variety of boats ranging from a 17 foot Herreshoff sailboat to William Atkin's Rescue Minor with an inboard Diesel, and John Atkin's 22 foot Ninigret bassboat.  I have also completed repairs on a number of boats including the TAZA, an 88 foot former French coastguard patrol cutter.
